The members of our KS3 Textiles afterschool club visited the Links and Layers exhibition ‘Continuum’ in October. They were fortunate enough to meet the Textile Artist Penny Evans and speak to her about her 3D felted work on display.

During the after-school sessions, the pupils then took inspiration from Penny’s work and the theme of rock pools to create their own 3D felt vessels using the technique of wet felting. They then worked back into the surface with embellishment techniques, you can see some of the outcomes below.
